Please note there is no supervision for pupils before the start of the school day in the playground and therefore pupils should not arrive early.

The gates to the playground will not open until 8:30 am with the classroom doors opening at 8.35am and closing at 8.45am. Pupils should enter their classroom as they arrive through the appropriate door.

The school day begins at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15 pm. The lunch break is from 12.00 pm until 1.00 pm daily, with a morning break for both Key Stages. There is an additional afternoon break for pupils in Key Stage 1.

It is important that pupils arrive at the academy ready for a good start to the day. You can help make sure this happens by ensuring that your child:

  • is ready to enter their classroom for 8:35am so that they can be seated and ready to work for 8:45am. After this they will be marked as late which some children may find upsetting
  • has their book bag containing any homework and everything they may need for the day
